The CW6180 Extra-Long Conventional Lathe is a heavy-duty horizontal turning machine designed for precision machining of large-diameter and extended metal workpieces. Featuring an 800 mm swing over bed and a 600 mm wide induction-hardened bedway, it handles center distances from 1,500 mm to 6,000 mm. It performs external and internal turning, taper facing, grooving, drilling, and multi-pitch thread cutting across steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals.

High-Rigidity Construction & Precision
Built with a 600 mm wide high-grade cast iron bed featuring induction-hardened guideways and wear-resistant saddle bands, ensuring long-term alignment stability under heavy cutting loads.
3-Support Precision Spindle
The spindle utilizes a robust 3-support structure driven by an 11 kW main motor, maintaining a roundness error within 0.01 mm and cylindricity within 0.04 mm over a 300 mm test length.
Integrated gearbox enables immediate cutting of 50 Metric (1–240 mm), 26 Inch (14–1 TPI), 53 Module (0.5–120), and 24 Diametral Pitch (28–1 DP) threads without manual gear replacement.
Machine models with turning lengths of 2,000 mm and above include both a steady rest and a follow rest as standard items to prevent workpiece deflection during long-shaft processing.
